Built for small businesses

Where you stand, where you’re heading, what to do next.

DepthFinder brings your search data together with what AI assistants say about your business — telling you where you stand and pointing you towards the work worth doing.

01Where you stand

The full picture, in one number.

Beyond your own traffic, you can see what your market is searching for, how crowded those searches are, and where competitors turn up that you don’t.

All of it lands in your Visibility score: a single number out of 100, built from how often you reach page one, how deep you sit when you don’t, and how often AI answers name you.

02Where you’re heading

What moved, and what it means.

Month to month, you see which searches gained ground and which ones slipped. Each result comes with a verdict, so you don’t have to work out for yourself whether a change is worth paying attention to.

Zoom out and you can see whether the work is adding up over time, not just what happened last week.

03Strategy

Recommendations aimed at what your business needs right now.

Every search you appear for is sorted into one of three groups, so your effort follows your marketing rather than a list of keywords ranked by difficulty.

Protect

Protect what’s already working.

Searches where you already rank well and have something to defend.

Usually the smallest group, and the one worth checking first.

Capture

Capture the space your competitors dominate.

Searches where a competitor sits on page one and you don’t appear yet.

Someone has already proved a business like yours can win these.

38searches in this account
Discover

Discover new opportunities.

Searches trending with your audience where nobody ranks particularly well.

Open ground: slower to pay off, and the least crowded.

04Topics

Thousands of searches, grouped into topics you’d recognize.

The same question gets asked fifteen different ways, and Google reports every one as its own row.

DepthFinder uses AI to work out what people meant rather than what they typed, then groups those rows into the things your customers are asking about and how close each group is to buying, from someone finding out you exist to someone ready to get in touch.

Most people finding this business are still working out what they need — so the fix is content that explains, not a price change.

05AI answers

How you show up when someone asks instead of searches.

More people are getting their answer without visiting anyone’s website. But those answers are assembled from pages that rank, which means showing up in AI and showing up in search aren’t two jobs. They’re the same work, measured in two places.

Your website gets analyzed the way AI agents read it, and AI results are measured on the same topics as your search results. When something changes, you can tell whether it’s coming from search, from AI, or both.

06Structure
Coming soon

Your site, mapped against what your customers ask.

Structure lays your site out as a map, then sets it against the topics your customers are searching for. You’ll see where your best content is buried, and where a topic your customers care about has no page behind it at all.

AI agents find their way around a site by following links, so a page can go unseen simply because nothing points to it. Knowing which ones is the difference between rewriting a page and connecting it to the rest of your site.

How is this different from looking at Google Search Console myself?

Search Console gives you rows of data and leaves the interpretation to you. It also only shows searches you already appeared in, so it can’t tell you what your market is searching for or where competitors turn up and you don’t. DepthFinder brings that in alongside your own data, groups it all into topics, tells you which ones matter, adds what AI answers are saying, and gives you the verdict in a sentence.

How is this different from SEO tools like Semrush?

Those tools are built for people who do this full time across many clients, which means showing you everything and letting you decide what’s relevant. DepthFinder is built around one business — yours. It works from your own search data and your own topics, and instead of handing you every number it could, it tells you which few things are worth doing next. One price, nothing metered.

Do I need to know anything about SEO?

No. Every screen is written for whoever looks after a small business’s website, and where a technical term is unavoidable it’s defined where you meet it.

What do I need to connect?

Your Google Search Console account, which you almost certainly already have if someone built your website. It’s read-only — DepthFinder never changes anything on your site.

Does it track AI answers as well as Google?

Yes, on the same topics, so the two are comparable. We check Google’s AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. Google’s AI answers are checked weekly, the assistants monthly, and both again once you tell us a page has changed.

How often does it update?

Your search data refreshes daily, with every figure shown against the same period last month. AI answers are checked weekly or monthly depending on where they come from. Most people find a weekly look is enough.

Can I get in today?

Access is invitation-based right now. Request access and we’ll email you the next steps to get set up.
